Splay Cap SBC
The 2040 is the ultimate aluminum small block Chevy. This small block is designed for high horsepower circle and drag racers. The 2040 series utilizes a splay main cap design and features wide pan rails. They are water cooled and have a +.390" raised cam position. The 2045 is a scalloped side , dry or wet sump model. The 2040 is a lightened version of the 2045 for a dry sump application.
